Kaprizov's shifts were 8 seconds shorter than last game, and 9 seconds shorter than his season average. The average forward shift was 3 seconds shorter, and the average defensman shift was 4 seconds shorter. This gets them all to around 45 second shifts, as opposed to the 50-65 second shifts we've been seeing. I have to imagine that has some impact on how much energy the team had last night. Probably doesn't explain ALL of it, but some for sure.
