I'm waiting for the upcoming uproar over Perry's spear while Lucic's is just 'playoff hockey' (despite it being far worse - and actually getting the guy flush in the groin).

Well, that was a thriller to go to. Not incredibly thrilled with going into a defensive shell that early in the 3rd period, but if we win, I'll take it.

Also, for the most obvious statement of the day, Ryan Getzlaf is damn great.

Bad: Dsp played poorly, silf cannot score, second line was horrible is maroon injured? Anderson was shaky in a first but got better later on.

The prevent defense really sucked. Reminded me of the days of being an expansion team.

Getzy was awesome tonight. But I really loved the way Freddie played tonight. His lack of playoff experience is looking to be a non issue. I really like how engaged he is in the play. And not just tonight. He battles to see the puck and to make plays. Unlike Hiller who just seems to wait for the puck to show up on his door step and hope he can stop it when it gets there. Freddie is the real deal.

And a definite tip of the Duck bill to Allen for being exactly the guy we signed him to be. A stay at home D who takes no prisoners in front of the net. A great game from him tonight. That's playoff hockey. That's how you win cups.
