If there is ever a game for Randell to play... it's so odd having our one home game on Game 2.

Winter Classic is 50-50 as per NHL desires, so really the Habs have three home games and we have one?

Their actual roster is incredibly underwhelming until we look at Price, Subban, Pacioretty. Gallagher on their first line? Weise on the third? That 2nd, 4th line? If we weren't so awful ourselves (potentially) I'd be very excited for this matchup.

Just like the Bruins getting screwed against B2B's against the Scabs, i'm not surprised.

Huge pressure on Morrow-Colin pairing by Julien, but it got me thinking we have 3 strong skaters and 3 slow skaters, 2 strong skaters/puck movers are on the same pairing and 2 slow skaters are on the same pairing, not hard to guess which pairing Montreal is going after during the game, just like Winnipeg did.

Per Fluto, Talbot may be in over Kemppainen which makes sense.

I'd much rather watch Randell, we waived Talbot and he is still here and somehow he will find a way to stay up :shakehead

It'll be nice when both Trotman and Irwin aren't playing... We need to find a way to get rid of Seidenberg too.

Excellent job Allicat - Thanks.

What I want to see tonight is something similar to 5 years ago when the Bruins told the Habs this is OUR barn. This was the game that started the greatest 4 months in recent Bruins history.

I can't believe the Bruins didn't scream at the league office when the schedule draft showed Montreal getting 3 home games to our 1 with Foxborough being neutral.

Montreal writer is complaining about the Habs schedule this year :banghead:

Scheduling note: The Canadiens swept the four-game regular-season series against the Bruins last season, but there was a lot of whining in Beantown because the Bruins played the night before on each occasion. There will be no excuses this season, because both teams will be off the night preceding each of their five games, including the Winter Classic on New Year’s Day. The challenge for the Canadiens in that game will be moving outdoors after four days in Florida.

the problem with Irwin is that he's not a particularly strong skater, but he tries to play like he is. Pinches a lot and is kind of all over the place. Trotman doesn't have the experience to make up for that yet, but hopefully Kevan Miller being more of a stay at home guy will help minimize the impact when Irwin inevitably makes a terrible pinch.

His 3rd goal against was a great example for that, but still Winnipeg made Julien to break up Irwin-Trotman pairing because they were targeting them and I don't expect that to change tonight.

Just have to hope our forwards are ready to cover for them.

Talbot in over Kelly would, "make sense," Talbot in over Kemppainen does not. Randell not in the lineup at all makes the least sense about it.

That must be Montreal's equivalent of Haggerty:

1) Picks a picture of Greg Campbell for the story. WTF? Not on the team. And he is not the fighter you are looking for if you want to get a good face wash pic.

2) Chara is 6'9" as listed on the NHL website and in virtually every other source you can find. I cannot stand it when simple, easily verifiable, very widely known facts aren't right in news articles. http://lmgtfy.com/?q=how+tall+is+chara

3) Comparing having to play 4 rear ends of back-to-backs to ONE game where you fly from Florida to Boston, all while having 2 days rest (same as the Bruins) is quite possibly the most asinine thing I've ever heard next to anything that comes out of Brendan Gallagher's mouth.

Disappointed that Irwin is still playing after the dookiestorm Thursday, but such is the curse of chirality.

I want to see Rinaldo-Kelly-Randell ideally but I understand Talbot.

1. Kelly goes back to C where he plays fairly well. He should also be able to get above 36.4% at the dot.

2. PK. Talbot will lead the 3rd unit. Kelly stays at the #2 unit with Loui.

3. Energy. Talbot is a royal PITA on the ice and plays with emotion every night. People thought the team lacked emotion, this should fix it.

4. Another vet out on the ice.

5. Someone has to babysit Rinaldo.
