Fleury tonight. Lets all read into this as clear proof that he's the true number 1 goalie! :sarcasm:

Also I wonder how Sheary on the first power play in place of Hornqvist will look. JG got the 2nd unit!

The Penguins need to jump on the Rangers. They played against the Panthers last night.

I really hope this works out for Guentzel because modeling is most certainly not a fall back career option.

Speaking of, what in the hell happened to Lundqvist?

His entire head seems to be leaning to the right. Like he took a puck off the left side of his head and everything shifted and his eyes off set.

Watching last nights Rangers game.

Zibanejad destroys his left ankle into the boards in OT.

Doubt we will see him this week.

Need to take advantage of a road team on the 2nd game of a back to back. Rangers are much improved this year though, should be a good game.

He's out 6-8 weeks.

Yeah, as "good" as that is for us, I still hate to see it. Broken tibia. That wreck looked nasty and he's relatively lucky that's all he got out of that. Terrible.

Hopefully he heals and can get back to it.

Classy comment Seal. Not surprising tho as y'all are the most part a very classy board. As classy IMO as there is here at HB. Yeah we are going to miss Zibs but like you said, it could have been alot worse. Most of us thought he was gone for the year seeing legs aren't supposed to bend like that. But we have quite a bit of depth and though he'll be missed, my boys should still be most competitive going fwd.

As I mentioned on that "I come in here in peace" thread, I have been anticipating our back to back games for two weeks now. I had thought it would be a really good test at this early juncture of the season about where our Ranger team is at.

Obviously those 5 goals a game nights that Rangers were scoring for first month of season are likely a thing of the past as we all knew there was going to be a "market correction". And that correction has started past couple of games But it shouldn't be too drastic a difference as Rangers are definitly improved club from last year's teams that you beat in the playoffs.

Anyways, looking forward too tonight. You guys catch us having played last night but it's a quick trip to your barn and I don't expect us to be all that weary. I'm hoping for a split of the two games. Anything more or less and either be thrilled or pissed....let's have a good one boys.

Hope he has a speedy recovery. Like I said, that was just nasty looking in slow mo.

As you can see by my avatar I dislike seeing people get injured. I see more than my share of it at work. I mentioned it because its a significant blow for the Rangers since we are playing each other twice this week.

Hope I wasn't coming off as gloating about it. Not my intention at all.

Going to be an irritable night if the Pens don't show up.

Was 'included' on dinner plans with my girl and her friends /their kid so I countered with cooking a nice dinner at the house instead - at least I'll have the Pens and some booze. Always nice being notified of stuff without much say in the matter...

I suffered a similar break my soph year of college that pretty much changed my hockey playing career. Was still good but the speed and balance/stability never came back. Course it wasn't my career so to speak so PTR&R wasn't at the top of the list/budget. My left calf is still bigger than my right calf

In any case, hopefully he heals up properly. Never like to see guys with those kind of injuries. I feel the same about Stammer as well. Sucks to see guys with injuries like that because you just never know what your body is going to do afterwards.

Nope didn't notice any gloating whatsoever....all good. It's why I said you and rest of your Penguin buddies are classy. I feel I'm same way as you guys. I hate to see anyone hurt even the most ardent competitors for the Rangers. Gaudreau and Stamkos going down sux for the game. And yes it sux for us that Zib is out seeing he's a seemingly really good guy, good teamate and was off to a pretty dang good start. That said, even with no Zib, I think you guys will be impressed with our speed tonight. We are much faster than we were last season. The additions of Grabner, Vesey, Pirri and Skeji on the back end, not to mention Kreider seems even faster than he used too which I didn't think possible, we can really fly and score.

Matter of fact our teams reminds me of the team you guys have and it's not a coincidence seeing Sully took our system to Pittsburgh and AV stupidly abandoned it. We had only been to two ECF's and a SCF utilizing that same style that you guys used to win the dang Cup last year. It makes alot of us Ranger furious we didn't continue playing that way.

Anyways, what's nice tho for both teams, there will be no trapping or left wing lock tonight. Both teams will be flying. Should be a real exciting game unlike the bore fest we just had with Columbus where Jackets "Torts" us and put us into a coma where we couldn't get past neutral zone and apparently Gallant and Florida thought that was a good idea as well last night.

I have Rangers 5:1 tonight, you guys are riding an unbelievable PDO streak, and usually never stops with Pens, just our luck, but I am afraid you will see some of that left wing lock from Pens tonight, I don't think we are ready to fly with you tonight..
