Even when Geno is in the right position, he just has zero confidence to do the right thing.

You've got to mix it up for him. Change linemates. Demotion. Whether you try to do it with or without tough love, it's pretty clear hoping he'll snap out of it isn't the answer.

I know people hated when Johnston split the PP but I wouldn't be opposed to trying it again.

If nothing else, to get some of the stars to realize they have to focus and play with a purpose out there. Right now they're just out for a skate, in a game when they should be playing guilty.

I know if I were on the rush and saw Geno open and cocked for a shot, my first instinct would be to ignore him and try to feather a pass to an unsuspecting Kunitz.
