They play a hard style, and we just wanted to match that and build off that.†(On what led to his goal…) I think it was Nikitin – he was just following the puck. Sometimes they weren’t shooting, but at least they were coming down and chipped the puck, and we were just winning those battles. That helps, because if they stay in their zone for 10 minutes, then they’re not coming in our zone. That got really hard, I guess.†(On the potential for “cold legs†with the lack of action in L.A.’s end…) You just try to stay focused. I think your body is going to stay sharp. I think it’s just mentally that you’ve got to make sure that you’re staying ready.†(His assessment of team, and where the Kings are at…) I think as a team, at first, we were not working as hard and the goals were not coming as we wanted to. I think we realized that if we worked hard, it just seems that we’ll get our bounce. If you look at that second goal, we got pretty lucky, but those are the type of goals that you want when you work hard. You want to find a way to finish that team.†(On the performance versus Columbus, compared to the performance versus St. Louis…) I thought we were right on them. We scored a big goal on that 5-on-3. That helps. Our PP got going. But I thought we played kind of a similar game. Our [third forward into the offensive zone] was really good, I thought, in our last three games, even against Detroit. We just found a way to win.†(On when he recorded his last assist…) I don’t know. Pee wee, maybe?"

"I think the Kings played a great defensive game . They did a good job keeping us outside. Give credit where credit is due. It’s up to us to create more offense at the end of the day. When your forwards help you on defense it’s huge. Then it’s five people playing defense opposed to two. The Kings do that exceptionally well."
