Ahh man our only good line is going to draw the Backlund matchup. Hopefully they can win a few shifts and score on their chances but I have a feeling our top line are gonna be shut down tonight.

I really hope that Avs can win this game. I don't hate the Flames more than the Oilers or Wild, but Flames tend to be a very frustrating team for the Avs in not that they beat us, but how they beat us. Additionally, I don't really like them since they have slapable-punks and diving-divas on that team.

Flames and Oilers have always been a frustrating matchup for the Avs, I've never really known why either. Even when the Avs were in their Sakic/Forsberg prime and the Flames were sporting such luminary players as Clarke Wilm, the games were always a messy grind. And that's without even mentioning the St. Valentine's Day Massacre.

If this is a tight game, expect to see that top line get a ton of minutes. Need to capitalize on the PP. It would be nice to get the win for varly, he's let in 3 goals over the last 2 games and lost both.

I really don't dislike the Oilers, games against them are always fun. But the Flames? I seem to be in the minority but I really do not like them. Love Gaudreau/Lindholm (guy I wanted back in hypothetical Duchene trades) but they have too many punks and divers. Liked the Iggy/Kipper era of them much better, similar to how I can't stand the Ducks now but I really liked the old Kariya/Selanne Mighty Ducks.
