How? He's not having much of a job to do so far..Vanecek already looks shaky
How do you know this?He got COVID. Apparantly of the symptomatic variety. It can been a long recovery if he had some legit respiratory illness at all.
Don't the Caps have 2?I looked. The teams that had games postponed had 5 or 6 players on the covid list. The Caps have 3. The injuries dont count
Jensen has been great in the playoffs for us. He has what it takes to be good. He is ALL OVER the ice today.Jensen is somewhat underrated on these boards.
This is everything wrong with fancy stats in one post. The numbers "shouldn't" be yielding the actual on-ice results, therefore the team is bad in spite of real-world outcomes.I am serious. They've been riding some pretty ridiculous percentages and even still are only 7-5, plus they have some injuries/absences of their own.
Not saying I'll be shocked if the Capitals lose, just saying if I were a betting man I'd pick the Capitals.
It's the same reason why I expect Pittsburgh will rebound and likely be a good team down the stretch: they've been incredibly unlucky this season and their goaltending numbers will certainly improve.
This depleted roster reminds me of the teams from like 2012-2015 where Troy f***ing Brouwer was one of our go to forwards
