how do they let the instigator go and call the trip by dk. I understand it was a clear trip, but I’m pretty sure it was a clear instigator. I’m genuinely confused at how that doesn’t get called. Am I missing a rule or have a bad interpretation of the instigator rule?

The trip was a trip and it is what it is.

However there is no better definition of the instigator rule.

NYR player jumped Wagner, throwing punches. Wagner never even throws a punch I don't believe.

2 + 5 + 10, no debate. Player would be done for the night as well with 10 minutes remaining.

To make it worse the ref retroactively yanks something from his ass to make it 4v4.
