Revenge for the '82 series, right?

Wasn't around for it, so I can't comment on if we really hated the Islanders back then as to say the Rangers in '94 or the Bruins back in 2011.

This game is 31 years in the making.

Will be fun to watch Tavares a lot closer than usual. He's a special player and we're going to have to focus on shutting him down if we hope to win.

I had a dream (nightmare?) that our 4th line was Cowan-Isbister-Ritchie on it for this game..

Then again, I'm not entirely sure Weise-Welsh-Sesito is any better

IMO, the Islanders speed and aggressiveness will kill the Nucks tomorrow.

Would be surprised with anything other than an Islanders win.

No chance we are winning, Islanders are one of those teams in the playoff race. We can only beat the bad teams in the nhl. 5-1 islanders, finally a blowout against this team and torts can start ripping the players.

Not really. We were just glad the team managed to fluke its way there at all. Bottom line is that the Canucks were so overmatched there really wasn't much doubt as to the outcome IIRC.

But this time, yeah, please win? Score some damn goals, please.

The Nucks did pretty well against the Isles even though they did get swept.

Bossy, Nystrom, Potvin, Trottier, Gillies and Smith. Wow!

Canucks should try Kassian with a Sedins like Torts said they were going to do before he got suspended.

Sedin - Sedin - Kassian
Higgins - Kesler - Hansen
Booth - Santorelli - Richardson
Sestito - Welsh - Weise

Santorelli has played well with Booth in the past in Florida and since he is playing well will help balance all 3 lines. If Kassian isn't working with Sedins, swap him and Hansen.

Edler - Garrison
Hamhuis - Bieksa
Stanton - Tanev

Solid balanced defence pairing
