I was kind of worried at first when Cassidy stuck WB on the 3rd line with a 13th forward and Howden, and forced Roy back to 4C after his big pay day. Though it's refreshing to see that he's not in love with Kolesar.
I'm not sure how well Kessel will do, and I think it entirely depends on whether or not Eichel has a monster season. If not, maybe stick him at LW with Stepho and Stone, and have Marchy and Smith on the top line? Or put the Misfits back together and try Cotter/Roy with Eichel and Kessel. Maybe Anderson, from our good friends the Canadiens, would be a good mid-season addition to replace some of the size & speed they lost with Tuch. His contract doesn't look so bad with the cap going up significantly in a couple years.

Anyway, I think some progress was made during preseason, and even though it's only preseason there's been a lot to like the past few games. GKG!
