Penguins make final training camp cuts, announce taxi squad roster

Newcomer Kasperi Kapanen, who arrived from Finland on Saturday, will be officially added to the 23-man roster once he completes his COVID testing protocol. The winger will miss at least the first two games of the season.​

Actually seeing the opening night roster, it's such a shame Nisky had to call it a career.

With Ghost in the lineup, the team will be markedly better, but it would have no holes with Nisky, too.

Bottom 6 sketchy, same for bottom pairing. Goalie is new but commentators seem to like him.

1RW will be Kapanen, but until he's back they got a nobody.

So as usual, it's about Jeanie and Cindy.

Damn our projected forward lines look great. That is a deep starting 12. And then to have Frost as the 13th guy rotating in for players underperforming or needing a rest, that's a major positive for this year as we are going to be shuffling line ups quite a bit. Having someone of Frost's caliber in that spot should pay dividends for him and the club this year. One of the strongest forward units we've had on paper in a decade. Definitely excited to see them in action tonight.



The defense though... Let's just hope that is temporary and top pairing Braun is a one off thing...
