It was a good clean hit. And Gio saw it coming and took it well. There was no reason for Hamilton to take a penalty there. Gio took the hit to make the play, and he made it.

I mean, I get the retaliatory idea and trying to keep that in check, but it was a weak call. They're missing a bunch of actual penalties. And then calling a bunch of soft stuff.

I don't think the focus should be on the Gio hit but the awful pass that put him in that situation. Square across the face of the goal and 5 feet away from Gio. Just asking for trouble
