Well here we are. It all begins again. Dallas are a good tough opponent. They came even closer to beating the Blues last postseason than we did, which should give them some incentive and belief to have a real crack this year. How we shape up against them will give us a fair little early indicator of where the Bs are really at - this entire opening road trip should actually.

It's a tad surreal getting ready to view tonight's game.

June 12 wasn't that long ago, so I have vivid memories of the last game we all prepared to watch.

Obviously this is very different, but I still lament what could've been.

There is a LOT of hockey to play to get back to that point, and it starts tonight.

been cheering this team now 44 years... or is it 45? anyhow, it never gets old... opening night ends 3 months of my suffering every time. got to say, i think this year is going to be a top 10 for me as a fan... top 5 maybe?

weve had a lot of great years in the last 44-45 but I feel confident being that optimistic this year. to me, anything short of a cup win is going to feel like we came up a little short
