Proline is a rip-off . Not even just for the simple fact you must choose 3 games minimum , they don't even give you the proper odds that an online sportsbook would.

For example a 3 game parlay I made on my sportsbook today:

I picked Capitals , Lightning and Leafs. On a $10 dollar bet it pays back $58. The same bet with proline pays $44. If you're betting $100 that's $140 you're missing out on by not using a proper sportsbook.

Everytime I see those lame proline app commercials I roll my eyes. You're a fool if you use it.

Are we allowed a gambling thread?

I picked Leafs straight up at +140

Capitals straight up at -155

And the 3 team parlay (Bolts, Caps, Buds) gives +482.

I'm up 2K this month. Can we discuss picks on this forum?

Proline has been a rip off from day one.
Odds are different across Canada as well. For example if the Leafs are +140 for us here, in Vancouver the Leafs are probably +180. At least, it used to be like that back in the day.
I dont know why, but i laugh hard at the commercial of the pre game rituals, with the blonde guy waving his arms while he walks, hahaha.

wow, i just realized you said youre up two grand - good job man!

Money ? :sarcasm:

JK. I use Bet365 . If you cash out they wire your money to your bank account within 24-48 hours. Its a great site, layout is superb. Lots of other ways to gamble as well. Blackjack is super fun and made me some coin too. I used to bet proline and go to casinos for blackjack and finding this site made it so much easier and lucrative to get my gambling fix in.

Honestly watching games with coin on the line is super fun and addicting. I can watch non Leaf games and enjoy the hell out of it just by betting.

I agree lol.

I started using pro-line back in november and was never really a fan of it but i liked the fact i could just go to a store and grab my ticket. It makes hockey a lot more interesting in terms of watching other teams, specially if you have a decent amount of cash on the line.

Maby il give that a try. Thanks!

Minimum buyin is just $10 with a debit or credit card. You just need to verify your account first but that took less than 24 hours for me. Then you can put in your bank details and they will e-transfer your cashed out withdrawals straight to your account .

I am up big this month. But tread carefully gambling is addicting and chasing losses can leave you out a big chunk of change. Only play with what you can afford to lose. I built up my bankroll from a couple $20 buyins. They also give you sign up bonus . So if you deposit $40 they give you an extra 40 to bet with. Also their casino does a buyin match too. So you can get two bonuses.

Proline is generally terrible but they still do make mistakes so if only bet when you spot the mistakes you're good.

I use 888, because I had a lot left over from playing poker and decided to check it out. I find it really good for hockey with extremely slow changing odds, caught the Leafs at 21 to 1, Preds at 12 to 1, Bruins at 25 to 1 at different points of the season when those were very obvious picks

Nice Ernie. I wish I got on it sooner. Do you play anything else on there or just sportsbet?

Just sports. I bet on soccer, football, and hockey. A lot of my money has been made betting on foreign leagues. It's easier, TBH. I also try not to get caught up on in-game bets. You can get cleaned out pretty quick.

Proline is absolutely terrible. I'm surprised there hasn't been any legal action against it (although admittedly, wagering is such a grey area).

The odds are terrible, you would be better off betting against an actual person than taking their odds.

What I find sad is that so many Canadians accept it and give away their money.

Proline here in PEI we had Series odds, and they were the worst I've ever seen compared to online.

For example, Vegas was 1.40 and online they were 1.87.

Boston was 1.40 and online they were 1.77.

I made a wager online for 7 series winners, $10 = $800

For fun I checked proline to see how much the same bet would pay since the odds were so drastically different.

Proline for the exact same bet was $10 = $73

Sounds unbelievable but I'm serious lol, The series odds difference was the worst in Proline history.

$727 difference on a $10 bet lol

how do you collect your wagers on here from Sportsbook? I bet correctly on one of the games going on tonight.

Speaking of gambling, I invested $4,000 in Crypto last Saturday to see if there is actually a return and in one week its up $6,900, is that good? :)

I took Radium, Ontology, Ripple and EncryptoTel, they are all up except for the last one.

ProLine is a waste. Esp when it comes to college football. Horrible odds, terrible point spreads (although if you catch them early when they first come out they can be OK), and the fact you have to parlay 3 games minimum. I use Pinnacle and it is great.

Oct 2016, went to Vegas and placed 3 or 4 bets. One was Tampa Bay to win the Cup that year - LOL....didn't work out. Anyways....one bet I did was $10 for a 3 team college football point spread parley - paid out $120. That wouldn't have been even close to the same payout on ProLine for the same bet, and who knows if the same games would've been offered even! Opened up a Pinnacle account, and still have funds. SuperBowl 2017 I was down to $10 left, made some soccer bets, got back up and then some.

Another thing I found really helpful, is using resource like covers.com - their forums are full of great insight for stuff like this.

I think i will sign up for it!

I was profitable using proline. sometimes their odds are completely wack and you can cash out pretty big, but after looking at Bet365 it looks pretty good.

if you sign up using a debit card, can they still wire you your winnings? and can you collect the winnings when ever you want? like could i just let them build up over say a month or two?

It's pretty simple. The house (OLG) is about being an indirect tax grab that is a monopoly in terms of legal sports betting in Ontario. Their goal is to win for the house each and every night and I suspect they do. I assume other betting houses operate in competition and have to give out more competitive payouts.

Hey sorry for being noob here but are you saying that that’s a proline thing (OLG) and sites like bet365 are better because they are not with the government? I know I could figure it out on my own but maybe more people here are wondering the same because I’m betting with people at work on whatever games all the time and we end up all just breaking even in the long run lol

The ironic thing about those Proline ads is that the guys in the adds all look way too savvy/tech smart to be playing Proline. You're telling me that that young Asian dude in the nicely tailored suit is going to convenience stores to play Proline? Get out of here.

Those ads should not feature anyone under 50 to have a semblance of realism.
