A new standard in the DoPS?
Actual punishments for garbage non-hockey plays?
Am I dreaming? If the NHL actually starts calling interference then we know we're living in the twilight zone.
Yes you were dreaming. It's a couple days later, and you just woke up to reality. Here's what happened while you were sleeping.
Landeskog gets suspended 4 games, and loses about $120k, because of his “history.”
Two days later, Patrick Kane gets fined $5k for a slash to the hip. One day after that, he cross checks Fiala in the face, and doesn’t even get a fine, let alone a suspension. No concern from the league about a "non hockey play" or a reckless cross check, or a hit to the head.
Not only is the cross check waaaaay worse than the slash, he clearly didn’t “learn” from his fine. Why is his “history” not taken into account? It just happened a day earlier.
The DPoS isn’t even trying to hide their discrepancy between teams/media/fans they'll get heat from, and teams/media/fans they won't.
