Sounds like McDavid skated yesterday and may be back tonight? Guess we'll see.

Somehow we're still within credible striking distance of a playoff spot despite being 23rd in the league. Is this what being an Eastern Conference team feels like?

I really wish they'd just throw Galchenyuk in the middle with Fiala to see what chemistry they have together. Just seems like an obvious move to roll lines like this:

Parise - Galchenyuk - Fiala

Donato - Staal - Zuccarello

Foligno - EK - Kunin

Greenway - Koivu - Hartman

I prefer they throw Ek on Fiala’s line

That'd be an interesting experiment too. Ek seems like he's proven that he can be successful with pretty much whatever combination of middle/bottom 6-wingers you throw at him, so I can only imagine his numbers would increase with someone like Fiala.

I just want Galchenyuk to get a decent shot at C, while we have him.

Lmao at that reasoning for getting Rask in. Is Donato scratched then? Very accountable decision-making.

It was probably the reason Dubnyk got the Vancouver game.

Maybe Rask will play better now, he's been chained to Boudreau's doghouse. Here's his chance to avoid ending up in Evason's instead.

Donato scratched for Rask, I guess that was a popular decision around here

Or...perhaps Donato sits because he will be dealt very soon.

I'm not the biggest Donato fan, but would rather sit Galchenyuk than him. I understand that Rask need a start.
