At this point Askarov's drive and work ethic should start being questioned.
His physical tools are fantastic, but his technique is awful and he wilts under pressure. He personally plays to the media too much also.
And it's not like he's being coached by amateurs. Marko Torenius is a great coach, who also developed Shestyorkin and Koskinen.
It's like he still wants to rely on reflexes only.

Eh, Vasilevskiy wasn't technically perfect either at that age and has now lead the NHL in wins for 5 straight seasons. Definitely needs to improve his fundamentals though, his stance in particular is not compact enough and too low.

Just settle it down and let it come to him rather than attacking everything so aggressively.

Seems like he's made no major improvement in his game since he's been drafted. Still overreact to everything and is just constantly moving all over the net. No calmness to his play at all. Yeah he puts up good numbers in the KHL but any time I watch this dude play I think he would get shelled in the NHL.
