i saw this guy on the Severstal Cherepovets roster.
And i was stunned with his Height and Weight.

Height: 179 cm / 5'10"
Weight: 100 kg / 220 lbs

IMO, goalie must be fast. As much as possible. And i don't think, that 100 kg goalie can be so fast.

Some goalies can still be athletic and successful with a massive frame, but I doubt it's good for the knees in the long run. Frederik Andersen is 6'4" 250lbs. Robin Lehner har reportedly dropped a lot of weight for this year, but he was listed something like 6'4" 245lbs last year. Sure, those are taller guys but that's still a ton of weight. Lindback and Markstrom, two 6'6" guys are listed at around 200lbs for comparison.

In all seriousness, though, some human beings can just be very fast even while having to move around a lot of mass. The combination of a lot of mass and not a great frame is anything but ideal in today's game, but unlike Maracle, Grigoryev at least could still grow into his body and find more balance.

Sure, someone that heavy can be fast.
Case in point, look at some 105+kg weightlifters. All of these guys are decently fast, but look at Ronny Weller at 1:39

If that kid ever stops doing sports he will be fat ass hell, my old friend with who i used live in same neighborhood had same sorta physique and oh man he gained like instant 100lbs (he's like 350lbs now) after stopped doing any sports. He's same height btw.

EP has these kinds of mistakes. probably 6'0 and 188lb..

as for being thick boned and slow... just look at sumos. they use tons of skill and quick moves.

That's most likely a case of his measurements not being updated since 2010/11.
