Colten Ellis is the best goaltender under 18 yo in the QMJHL, outplaying 2018 eligibles such as Alexis Gravel, Olivier Rodrigue and Kevin Mandolese.

He's 18-5-4, with a 2.27 GAA and a 0.916 SAVE%.

I don't remember a goalie having those kind of stats in the QMJHL one year and a half before his NHL Draft.

it's early but that's hype. It is Quebec, they've been known for decent goaltending at times.

Rimouski has Lafrenniere and Ellis on the same team...

Quite the rookie squad

In my opinion he is in the top 3 of best goaltenders that will be drafted in 2019 (along with Spencer Knight & Hugo Alnefelt).

My favourite goaltender of the 2019 draft. Hopefully gets a chance to battle for the starting position for Team Canada this year, from my viewings he’s better than Rodrigue.

Blues lucked out getting him where they did.

QMJHL record tying 12-0 start to season. Will obviously attempt to break it next start out. Deserves some hype!

How is it a record if Zachary Emond went 24-0-1 literally 2 years ago?

(I'm guessing he got that overtime loss before reaching 12 wins like Ellis, but still, I thought it was worth it to mention Emond's terrific season in this instance)
