These highlights and his stats so far make him look better than he is. Look at the highlights of Sibir's season opener against Avto which they lost basically due to Krasikov and you will get a different picture.

"I will look really smart praising player whom I saw in one 30 second long video ignoring the fact that goalie stats in the KHL are completely team-dependent".

Maybe you should somewhat trust people who actually saw all of his games this season rather than your "insight". He exhibited same flaws in all 3 games, just that playing Avtomobilist who are equal opponent to Sibir is a quite a bit different than playing teams that are bound to miss playoffs like Yugra who got shut-out in 2 of their first 3 games of the season and Barys who are yet to get a single point in the standings.

31 Thoughts: The fallout from bombshell New Jersey, Vegas firings - Sportsnet.ca

Briefly mentioned in Elliotte Friedman's column today:

25. There are several unsigned goalies for next season, but all of the injuries have several clubs remembering you better have at least three you can depend on — four is a luxury. As a result, teams are looking overseas in addition to the North American market. I have heard three KHL names. In December, Sportsnet’s Luke Fox reported Toronto’s interest in Timur Bilyalov from Ak Bars. He’ll be 25 in March and isn’t massive like many of today’s goalies, but you can’t argue the numbers — first in goals against and second in save percentage. Two others to watch: St. Petersburg’s Alexei Melnichuk (22 in June, fifth in goals against, 18th in save percentage) and Sibir’s Alexei Krasikov (24, 12th in goals against and seventh in save percentage).

Krasikov is a very mediocre goalie. Was the main reason Sibir missed the playoffs last year. This year looks better, when he has Sateri to play majority of the games for him.

Melnichuk is also not the starter for SKA btw.

Given the uncertainty of the goaltending situation with the Devils I was looking to the KHL for potential UFAs and noticed he has handled the bulk of the games for Spartak ahead of former Columbus/Vegas prospect Oscar Dansk.

Anything worth seeing or merely decent numbers on a sound defensive squad?

Good season of an inconsistent goalie. Not NHL material

Thanks. Are there any 24-27 year old goalies playing in the KHL that might be worth pursuing?
Not at this point. all the good prospects have already flooded the NHL recently. We had big trouble picking goalies for the Olympics. There is no one who really stands out.

Just curious. Handled the bulk of the goaltending during the season but Oscar Dansk started all five playoff games.

Was there an injury or was Dansk the better option? Dansk is currently a free agent according to Eliteprospects.com.
