I see Kane a fit in Van. Having a goal scoring power forward in his prime will help to ease our young centres into their roles. I also think he would be a great on ice mentor for Virtanen.

......Yes, I do know that he had off ice issues 4 years ago in Winnipeg.
Yup, no problems at all in Buffalo.......

If we still had the Sedin's sure. But with no twins next year our leadership group is a complete mess aside from Horvat. Kane would be able to revert back to his own ways in Vancouver, with no one to hold him accountable for anything. Good player, but not worth the headache's we will hear about on him if he came back to Vancouver. Honestly, the best spot for him is to stay in San Jose.

TBH I'd want to hear feedback from Sabres fans or to a degree sharks fans on how he carries himself away from the rink. He is not 23 anymore, people grow up and mature. I'm assuming he has, based on the lack of news over the past few years, but certainly could be wrong. He is a hell of a hockey player, and I'd love to see him on the ice for the Canucks.

Watch out, NJ is going to be all in for Carlson, Tavares and JVR (if Tavares doesn't sign there).

They will make the biggest splash of the free agency, imo.

-Kane stays in SJ

-JVR to Montreal cause they’ll strike out on Tavares and just throw a bunch of money at the next biggest goal scorer

Tavares stays in Long Island

Carlson stays in Washington

Free agency is ruined

I wouldn't mind Tavares in FLA one bit.

Call it a pipe dream, but I think they can (and should) be a very strong sleeper team to nab him. Especially if they can draft Veleno as an eventual Trocheck replacement at 15OA

For the Islanders, we need a 3rd line center who is above average defensively and can win faceoffs. In that regard I hope we sign Plekanec

San Pedro, CA.
The Blues will likely be in on Tavares, Kovalchuk, Thornton, Stastny, Neal, and JVR(if they trade Fabbri).

We’re likely only to sign one, but maybe it’ll be two if we don’t acquire a top 6 guy at the draft.

Just cant stop seeing people saying JVR to the Ducks. Don't see us signing him and don't want him especially for the cost of a typical UFA signing.

He's more of a 4th line enter.

Assuming we can resign Tavares I still think he would make a good fit. We really need the faceoff specialist and then we can move Nelson to LW.

Tavares-Barzal-Plekanec-Cizikas

I think a line of Ladd-Plekanec-Ho Sang would work as well then put Nelson with Cizikas and Clutterbuck

Maybe Buffalo tries to get De Haan or some type of defenceman.
That would just make a busy left side
They have Dahlin and Scandella in the top 4 and then Guhle pushing for a spot with some top 4 potential as well. Unless they play Dahlin at RD

Um....no. Evander is going to want to win sooner than 5 years from now. He'll likely go to Vegas, where he already apparently has a home and will likely replace Neal, who may not be resigned.

Ducks may not need em anymore if JVR signs here. No more Lindholm for you
Have fun with jvr. His non existent speed will fit right in with your team. Be sure to shelter him and give him number 1 pp minutes with a play maker feeding him tap ins.

So we go in with Horrible Ritchie and Brown, Chimera for our 3rd and 4th line wingers. Sounds like a plan. You don’t win games having those players on your bottom pairing lines. We’ve already been swept to prove that point.

He’ll be with Henrique so it’s not an issue. Ducks will finally have three effective scoring lines. Not just two anymore.

Edit: JVR-Henrique-Kase :nod::)

We have Fowler and Manson new cap hits starting next season. Henrique and Silfverberg are UFA after next season and need to be signed. Gibson will get paid well on his next contract. We cant be throwing money at JVR we need to be smart with signings.
