Those are optimistic numbers and it leaves 5.4M without accounting for other odds and ends. I guess he could do something fishy with Ferland's LTIR, like he did with Hamonic last season. But I can't see the league letting it slide with a big ticket signing.

More likely, Benning is playing with 4.5M. That's not going to get you very far with a UFA market.

This is probably the most likely outcome. Trade for Brogan or C Fluery if they dont develope into anything they are still solid Abbotsford depth.
I think Benning will be dangling around his 2022/2023 first for another top 4 RHD dman as well
