Well - his arbitration hit likely would have been higher.

Not qualifying him and then actively engaging in contract talks would have been prudent. But the Canucks didn’t qualify him, and didn’t approach him about anything until it was too late.

I think LB is right - Green wasn’t a fan of Stecher for some insane reason.
