Paying VanVleet 130 million dollars to play on one's basketball team for 3 seasons is the single most absurd contract I've ever seen handed out in professional sports

Fred went to the team that offered him the most money which would be a crappy team. He has his championship so this is essentially a retirement contract even though he has 7-8 seasons left.
