The Oilers also announced Kelly Buchberger will now serve as the club's Vice President of Player Development, Duane Sutter has been promoted to Vice President of Player Personnel and Frank Jay and P.J. Fenton have been brought on as Amateur Scouts.

He was assistant director of amateur scouting last year.

He spent 11 years with the NJ Devils.....

He went to Ottawa in 1999 and left Ottawa in 2008 for the Habs....

Now he's doing what he did in 2008 and heading to Edmonton in 2016....

Everyone got a shelf life .....

Seriously though, it could be any number of reasons. I don't think this is something to be worried about.

He probably saw that Trevor Timmins was here to stay and he has a better shot at becoming the top guy elsewhere.

Came here in 2008...last good draft for Timmins was 2007. Wonder if there is a connection?
