I have been going around the local rinks since it's been over 32 this whole week and have found 111 pucks so once it warms up in your area I recommend doing this.
Boo, that should be something only little kids get to do. But you probably found some of my pucks. Which reminds me, I should go swing by the park and take a look to see if I can find some of mine.
I'll confess to doing it on occasion. I somewhat collect pucks with interesting logos. I don't find a whole lot of those, so the rest I just toss on the benches or throw in my bag for pickups.
Yeah I lost like 5 pucks in 2 weeks of playing myself. I can't imagine how many puck there must be under the snow at the park. I should have went there and checked today since it was rainy and the snow kind of melted.
I always just stock up in the summer, buy a dozen used pucks at PIAS. I shoot at the outdoor range around here a couple times a week anyways so I like to have a lot of pucks for that. Then I lose a dozen pucks in the winter and repeat.
I was mainly collecting so I could more easily start this http://www.betterhockey.com/subpage.aspx?page_id=44
