Personally I think Forbes has undervalued the team as Jacobs really cooks the books between what he owns and what company owned Delaware North does. In any event he paid only $2 million in cash for the team and the rights to operate the Garden and gave previous owner Storer Broadcasting 10 years of TV rights valued at 8 million. When that deal expired he joined forces with the Red Sox and started NESN.

He sat the old Garden footprint for 20 years until he could get his price for development and for those of us who go to the games can not believe what is happening on Causeway Street today.

One of the strongest brands in the NHL is moving into a new game. In February, Delaware North, parent company of the Bruins and TD Garden, invested in eSports franchise Splyce, which fields nine professional eSports teams across League of Legends, Call of Duty, Overwatch and more. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, but Delaware North intends to use resources from the Bruins and TD Garden in the development, sales and marketing of the eSports brand. In addition to assisting in the growth of Splyce, organizers hope to use the TD Garden to host major eSports events in the future.

$10M to $890M. That's quite the investment.

Not bad at all. Another pretty good one is Jerry Jones buying the Dallas Cowboys for $140 Million in 1989. During Jones' tenure, the Cowboys have appreciated in value to an estimated $4.2 billion.

Personally i dont get why Nhl teams are the least valued of the major sports other then people's preferences in sports are a joke imo...if the nhl can expand to Europe then the value of the teams would skyrocket
