Not eligible for AHL playoffs since he signed an ELC, not an ATO. (AHL rules, not NHL rules)

Odd move, but it was what coaxed him into signing earlier... unfortunately means he's in the pressbox if he's not on the NHL team. He can join Providence next year though.

After last night, no doubt about it

the problem I think why Krejci and Backes haven't work all year long is...Krejci is too dipsy doodle/creative for backes (straight line) and vice versa

Kulary and Backes play at the same wavelength...straight line, drive to the net, clutching and fighting .... relentless forcheck

Really wish cassidy would bring up cehlarik again (for the sake to get Krejci game going again).... celly and krejci just clicked. because of the reasons above ... However Cassidy didn't like some things celly did after the long try out (not sure at which instance, he messed up) and as well its not like Cehlarik is torching it down at Providence ....

i think they need spooner on the PP if krejci is out. that's really the one place where he's useful.

What didn't Cassidy like? I thought Cehlarik played great with Krejci.

He started out great, he was a revelation those first 3-4 games, but definitely faded. Surprised he was never recalled though.

Acciari shoots right and plays right. Could swap him and Vatrano, but with the injuries.. someone had to play off wing. Vatrano has done it before.

If Krejci is out.. options are Beleskey, Spooner, Hayes, JFK.

I would go with Beleskey.

I do like Bugs point though.. Spooner could be useful on the PP with krejci out.

But 5on5 he is an extreme liability. I still leave him out.

On the PP go:

Pastrnak-Bergeron-Marchand-McAvoy-Stafford

Kuraly-Backes-Vatrano and a rotation of McAvoy, C.Miller, Liles...

Put Spooner on third line LW with Backes and Kuraly. That shelters him 5 on 5 and he could still improve the PP.
