As a Habs fan, it's a bidding war between Philly and Washington.
With 22 and Foerster, Philly has what it takes to win.

Edit: but of course it's a draft day deal.
If the auction goes too high and SJ trades down instead, Habs get Smith or Carlsson and that's great, too.

I don’t think it would behoove Philly if they wanted to do this to leak the story 2 days before the draft. If you were Montreal and wanting the Caps to increase their offer you’d want that story out there though.

If the Habs feel strongly that one or two of the guys outside of the top 5 guys is going to be just as good, or they think Mitchkov isn't ever going to come over or grow in value as an asset, or something along those lines, this would make sense for them. That's a big IF though.

Apparently there’s a bunch of teams - Including Washington, Philly, Detroit and Nashville that is interested in moving up to grab Michkov.
