Just a poem I wrote today to get everyone even more pumped!!
T'was the night before hockey, and all through the rink
Not a player was sleeping, not even a wink
The Ice Skates were hung by the Jerseys with Care
In hopes that Orange G-Sus soon would be there
The Penguins were nestled all snug in their beds
While nightmares of Hartnelldowns danced through their heads
Briere taped his stick blade, just sitting about
Max Talbot was ready from the too-long lockout
Next day on the ice Giroux made such a clatter
The puck had been dropped and G scored right after
Away down the ice Wellwood flew like a flash
Rinaldo went barrelling and made such a crash
Coots contained Malkin and tied up his feet
And Crosby got flattened by a Game Six Repeat
Letang took a dive again, but got sent to the box
And Grossmann checked James Neal right out of his socks
Wayne Simmonds set up right in front of their net
And got down and dirty with a rebound from Mez
And no one in gold could catch Voracek
As he skated in circles around Brooks Orpik
Bryzgalov, a wall, and the Pens couldn't pace
And Luke Schenn knocked Kunitz right down on his face
And Brayden, new top-liner, made Penguins fans worry
As his wrist shots kept trickling past Marc-Andre Fleury
With Reader, and Shelley, and Coburn and Leights
Timonen, Laughton, Fedotenko, Gervais
Foster, Sestito and the spirit of Pronger
I tell you, my friends, it's more than an honor
So let's hear it, Lavy, Let's Play with some Jam!
Lord Stanley's Cup is awaiting our fans

Let's light up the lamps BECAUSE HOCKEY IS BACK
