I think that mascot is perfect for Philly.

I mean - there's no obvious way to describe what a "Flyer" is. For some teams it's easy - your name is the Coyotes or the Panthers, so your mascot is a Coyote or a Panther. Or even if your team name doesn't lend itself to an anthropomorphized animal - just pick an animal anyways and use it.

But what is Philly known for? Being tough. The Broad Street Bullies. The town that booed Santa Claus. So go for it - lean into it, as the kids say. And throw in it's obviously inspired by the many, many hockey players with crazy hair and crazy beards.

I bet you the kids love it.
