As a Flyers fan, I think they're pretty awful too.

They're different, I'll give them that, but they're like some weird amalgam between a Flyers, Ducks, and Penguins jersey. And reading the numbers in-game can be a bit challenging. They're for the team's 50th anniversary they're celebrating, which is known as a "Gold" anniversary, in case you don't know. So, there is indeed meaning to them.

I'd much prefer they made an alternate black retro jersey after this year.

Just ugly jerseys all around last night. Islanders wore practice jerseys and Flyers randomly threw gold into the color mix. Of course we did it for the anniversary but that doesn't make it look any better.

Sad to say, but without the gold they would be gorgeous unis. Except gold is the whole point. On TV the numbers look a sickly green and are unreadable.

Yeah 50th anniversary jerseys. All of the teams that came into the league in 66-67 are using an alternate with gold in it.

I think they could have been nice if they didnt make the numbers solid gold and insteady just outlined numbers and logo in gold.

Yeah the gold just does not work ...would have been better with just the shoulder patch and maybe the gold around the Flying P.

What do you mean? The Penguins wear gold, the gold the Flyers wear on their 3rd jersey is just a different type.
