I figured with Hakstol around I needed to come out of this draft with a former top forward prospect that I can scratch and send to the AHL routinely. Eiserman was the easy target.

Now fired, I did some wake boarding, soul searching, and finally able to shave off my goatee, I’ve had a change of heart and will be picking the long dicked legged

10th overall, New Jersey selects Konsta Helenius, C, Mikkelin Jukurit, Liiga

If the board shook out this way, I’d have to think Konsta Helenius would be the pick. The Devils organizational depth at center doesn’t seem great, but they’ve had some later round picks turn out well in other leagues, and they’re loaded at defense. I’ve read some places that the timeline also is not long, which would work well too, but can’t always trust that.

The Buffalo Sabres are proud to select from the Calgary Hitmen Defenseman Carter Yakemchuk.

@DrinkFightFlyers is on the clock
I’d be surprised if the Sabres don’t trade the pick in real life to improve. Especially if the top centers are gone. Don’t really need anymore LHD or wing prospects. Hoping the Flyers try to pounce on them for the pick and have back to back in the top 12.

I have that gut feeling bender is gonna rob my pick (several I like here but have my eyes on one in particular)

The Buffalo Sabres are proud to select from the Calgary Hitmen Defenseman Carter Yakemchuk.

@DrinkFightFlyers is on the clock
Teams about to have nothing but defense :sarcasm: lol I like your style, no defensemen left for everyone else if you have them all ;) very smart strategy lol

Mike grier -"Tim, the Minnesota wild have screwed us over, they took our man
Tim holy- "well Mike they had the pick before us, that's bound to happen with a player like that available"
MG-"thats OK we will embarass them in the regular season"
TH-"Mike we are an embarrassment, if anything they'll spank us like a submissive girlfriend who hasn't gotten her engagement ring yet"
MG-"It's OK we've prepared for this, I will fight Brandon Morrow for the rights to his pick"
TH-"Sir the draft doesnt work like that"
MG-"Ah shit, the 90s were a much better time, its ok we have other players we like i guess"

*Scouts and front office team rolls their eyes and shakes their heads in disbelief*

With 14th overall pick from the 2024 entry draft the San Jose Sharks are proud to select Beckett Sennecke, RW, Oshawa

Chasm of Sar (north of Montreal, Qc)
As the Vegas front office moves off the stage, an enormous catfish comes sailing out of the front rows and lands sloppily beside the podium.

"Yeehaw! Howdy, all. It's great to be back and pickin' for the Nashville Predators. I'm Lindsay Rowley, Pre-Game Host for the Preds [sound effect of large cat growling], and we're ready for another GREAT meeting to rustle us up some young hockey STUDS! Here with me is our very own General Manager and Top Cat [sound effect of large cat growling], BARREEEEEEEEEEEEY TROTZ!"

Mr. Trots approaches the microphone with a facial expression like he has just undergone a colonoscopy.

"With the 22nd overall selection in the 2024 NHL draft, the Nashville Predators [sound effect of large cat growling] ... ugghhh, are pleased to select, from MHK Dynamo Moskva, left winger Igor Chernysov."

@denominator, please come up and save Barry Trotz from this embarrassment.
