Should we be expecting a trade or is this simply for depth? Either way, he seems like a decent claim. Captain of Henderson Silver Knights

You can practically kiss Tanev goodbye soon with this claim
Tanev is extremely likely to be traded because it's February and he's a pending UFA, not because of this waiver claim. We're back to 8D and 13F like our franchise likes to have and we're back to the same number of pro defensemen we started the year with (traded Zaddy, lost DeSimone on waivers, added Pachal on waivers, signed Pysyk as a FA)

Not quite the same, but we traded Zahorna for Hunt after he cleared waivers in Toronto... so Zahorna being claimed is still paying off lol

Oh and Greer's waiver claim deserves some love too.

Defensively- he is mostly sound, I see him almost every match with no stick in his hand at least once so he needs to be stronger.

Offensively- he has a big room for improvement, his first pass is often inaccurate and his shots are often not going through traffic.

Last night, there were at least 2 openings where we had a breakaway and he missed guys by 2 feet.with his passes.

So overall, great freeby, solid defensively, needs to work on being stronger with puck battles, accuracy and offensive aspect as Huska's system actives D man a lot.
