Finally! Best goalie in Flames history. I'm honestly shocked he was willing to come out of hiding for this

Named my dog after him over a decade ago (even though she is a female), Mika is now 12 years old and just like a goalie her knees are starting to go.

Probably the most deserving jersey retirement I could think of. Literally the only goalie other than Vernon in the Flames 40+ year histroy who was good consistently. Kipper is the best Flames goalie period.

I agree he was our best goalie ever, one of my favorite players when he played. Had an athleticism and tenacity similar to a Hasek (not saying on the same level, but closeish). Probably my 3 favorite Flames goalies of all time are: Kipper, Vernon, Lemelin

He's the reason my interest in hockey was reignited. I love remembering how he looked so calm when he'd remove that mask. Just incredible.
