Voted Linus Lindstrom. He excites me more than any others. In addition, the Flames claimed they liked Lindstrom more than Fox, but knew he would be there in the fourth. I expect Fox will win this, though.

Do you have the link on this? I would really enjoy reading that piece.

Really? What I remember from that situation was that when it got to their 3rd round pick they were surprised Fox was still available. They were planning on taking lindstrom but since Fox was available they took him and hoped Linus would be available in the 4th still.

I'm remembering it from a tweet on draft day, which I'm desperately trying to find right now. Outlook not so good, and if I can't find it, I apologize for bringing it up. Hopefully someone can corroborate it.

Honestly I don't remember either. Either way, stoked to have both Fox and Lindstrom in our pool. It's getting super deep! We are at #17 but still some awesome choices like Fox, Lindstrom, Pribyl, Hathaway, Tuulola, AOM. Solid group.

[fieldset=sweet vindication]"We had Lindstrom a lot higher," Button said. "We thought we could get him lower, so we took Fox ahead of Lindstrom because we didn't think we could get Fox. We did a little bit of moving around like that, but it was still a matter of you're hoping it can all work out."[/fieldset]

I could only find the quote in a blog site, but it's exactly as I remember.

Lindstrom was one of my pre-draft steal picks. I had 10 potential sleepers for the late rounds and only 4 of them actually got drafted :/. I guess I went too under the radar.

On-topic: I still can't believe Pribyl hasn't gone yet. He is going to be a middle-six NHLer this season.

Anyone read that article where Jeff Brown (Logan Brown's father/coach of the 67s) said that Stepan (not Steven as I keep seeing it l) should have gone a lot higher then the 7th round? Really likes his potential 4-5 years down the road.

That's really interesting AS, again from everything I've read up on Lindstrom he sounds like a Backlund clone. TBH, he sounds fairly comparable to Apslund who is getting a lot of hype. I definitely think he was an excellent pick and I am pretty high on him. In saying that, it sounds like his projection is a 3rd or 2nd line C, which again is fantastic. I would value Fox slightly higher because I really believe he could be that Ellis kind of player.

I'm gonna have a hard time deciding between Tuulola and Lindstrom next round. Tuulola is the more rare type of player, Lindstrom has the more impressive skills.

Go with Phillips. Might be smaller but has 50-60 point upside with his edges and puck skills.

Actually I might. I've been talking to II about him, realistically outside of our top 10 propsects, he's likely got the highest upside and probably higher than some of our guys in the top 10. I think Atkinson could be a realistic NHL projection for him. I'll be following him very closely going forward.

Yeah I agree, him and Fox. Whenever we draft boom/bust skill guys I like to wait a year before really 'ranking' them.
