I would love it if the Flames could get Vrbata and Orpik through FA. Throw Greiss in the mix and I think we could do pretty well when summer is all said and done.

How much do you think he's looking for? Currently on $3M, I'm guessing he'll want somewhere around $4.5 - 5M?

Wouldn't expect he'd get more than 3.5. Anything above that is a bit rich.

Given that so many teams have a lot of cap space and not so many big naems on the UFA market this year, I can see the Flames offering Vrbata a 5 x 5 at the most.

Might be an overpayment, but we can really use the guy. He can score.

with Hudler, Gaudreau and Gio feeding the puck, we have another guy we can add that can score from those feeds (Vrbata, Glencross, Monahan, even Backlund).

Have watched the guy quite a bit and I think that he could fill right in as a top 6 winger.
