Demko starts. No surprise. 100% sounds like they know what they potentially have in Martin and he’ll be given the chance to win the back up reins next year.

I'm laughing at the idea of winning the cup this year with Spencer Martin as our Jordan Binnington.

I think I might just have to give up on trying to understand hockey if that happened.

I'm honestly surprised we are going with Demko in this one.. hopefully he's not full of rust.

People talking about being willing to move Halak for a top 100 pick… heck I would move Halak for free. You know what, I’d even toss in a 5th round pick to keep that bonus cap hit off the books.

Don't know if I would add a pick, but definitely do future considerations. But really as long as he waives should be able to get some positive asset back.

Sometimes Demko struggles after a layoff....But the Canucks are playing sound hockey five-on-five in front of him. But they have to stay out of the penalty box......the PK has stated to take on water a bit.

Haven't plowed through everything on this thread....but is Horvat back tonight? Do we finally have all hands on deck?...minus of course the LTIR guys like Sutter and Hamonic.

The OP states Horvat is back so he must be Jack

The flames will be hungry early after that 5-1 loss and only having 29 SOG.

That's makes the Canucks the perfect tonic for them and a 40+ SOG game.

I think there will be a weird adjustment for our defence in the first period. Won’t have Martin’s puck moving ability to help transition out of our zone.

5.5 more years of him.....

I will continue to believe that JR is going to try to find a way to get rid of him before the deadline, until it doesn't happen. "Big decisions" almost certainly include Miller, Boeser, etc. But surely the management group will recognize how important it is to get out from OEL in order to become competitive.
