Best period I've seen the Flames play all year. Could've been 6-3. Niemi absolutely robbed Jones shortly after Gaudreau made it 3-2.

Cardiac kids are back... You have to such hard in our division to barely make the playoffs. Average play will make you a lock. Not our style.

Impressive, but 1 period is far from turning a season around

Flames are still bad. I'm happy, but this hasn't convinced me. That first period was one of the worst of the season.

Gonna need a consistent effort to get my hopes back up.

It's one game, but who knows? I hope, I recall the 3 goal come back against the Kings was a huge catalyst for us last year, hopefully this win can do the same. Thank god our division is garbage  :help:

Huge win for Calgary, they're buried at the bottom of their division right now but could this be the catalyst for them to turn their season around?

Probably not. They've had exciting, huge, emotional, wins over Detroit, Chicago and Pittsburgh that were followed up by pretty sketchy losses.

they have 3 regulation wins all season...1 by more than one goal

let's slow our roll

heck, even the Oilers come back down 3-0 against a really good team (the Habs)

Flames are decent at home. They're on a long homestand which is beneficial for their awful record. On the other hand, in 25 games they've got 3 regulation wins. Under old OT loss=normal loss rule they're 8-15-1. Under the old 60 minutes and no OT format (1942-83 NHL) they'd be 3-14-8 :help:

Stars took their foot off the gas and got burned. Lesson learned.

The Stars did this on Saturday night to the Wild but I don't see a thread about it. Of course, Dallas ended it on 3 vs 3 rather than in the skills competition.

Cool? I'll never understand some fanbases on here and their desire to create main board threads that only their fans will care about.

I'll never understand some peoples fascination with keeping the main board free for more Sid vs Ovi debates. Are you paying for the sites bandwidth or something? It was a nice 3rd period comeback for a team that hasn't given it's fans much to cheer about this season.

I too cringe at fans who feel the need to do this but the thread wasn't even started by a flames fan.

Please start winning so we get Matthews with San Joses' pick :yo:

Didn't expect this.
