I am watching last weeks Rampage/Heat game and they revealed an interesting tidbit about Freddie Hamilton. He was assigned to the Rampage by the Avalanche on September 27th, but never reported to San Antonio despite their camp starting on the 28th. He was not traded to Calgary until a week later.

They didn't say that Freddie demanded a deal or refused to report. But it sure sounds like that is the case.
