Honestly the fisherman logo/color didn't bother me, it was the distorted stripes, numbers and names that bugged me.

If the fisherman had been introduced as a 3rd jersey with classic islanders colors and stripes it would have never entered the legend it did.

I was 19 when they introduced them. They were horrible then. They're horrible now. Any attempt to revive them should be met with a firing squad ... or a walk of the plank.

I think it it was just a third the hate towards them would be maybe 2% what it currently is

Thankfully we've moved to the times where different ages need to be seperated in polls. As if teams, nationalities and other bullshit weren't enough.

It is the type of jersey that would be great for an AHL team, but definitely looks out of place for an NHL team. I still kind of like it though.

A good hockey logo is something you can draw in snow with your finger. Clean, simple, iconic stands the test of time.

The teal, the waves and the weird numbers made it bad.

The logo itself isn't bad and I personally love the Montauk Lighthouse patch.

Screw the haters, I f***ing love that jersey. It's not good in a traditional sense but, for doing something different, I actually like it a lot.
