MacKinnon, Tyler Ennis, Paul Stastny, Shane Doan, Brunner, Dan Girardi, Ryane Clowe, Flippula and Bolland are best free agents available?
What moves should I make?
What other suggestions? As far as moves go you should definitely drop Bogosian for Mackinnon. Mackinnon is doing quite well, meshes with his team's theme quite well, and has the hype going for him. He'll probably cool down as the season progresses but worry about that later.
Bogosian hasn't bounced back to form in a long while and he has both Enstrom as well as Byfuglien far ahead of him in terms of depth and point production (which your league centers on) and possibly Trouba if he keeps up his play. You also already have Trouba and Byfuglien on your team so Bogosian is really redundant there.
Even aside from those facts, D are the least valuable position by far in a league that is set up like that because they score the least.
This last move I'm suggesting is more my personal opinion, but I'd swap Clarkson or B. Richards for Brunner. Probably Clarkson. Clarkson has a semi-lengthy suspension to serve still and even when he gets back he's probably a .5 PPG PP specialist even at his best which Brunner should still manage to do at the least.
I have other suggestions but you just asked about free agent moves.
Personally if I was going to drop someone I would look at the addition of another goalie
It's a 12 person league, the only decent goalie on the FA is Semyon Varlamov,
That's what I thought thus why you should probably trade for one. Varlamov would just be like a different version of Pavelec for all intents and purposes really. More skilled but plays on the weaker team on paper.
So what should I do? Should I pick up Varlamov for Clarkson?
I am winning 8-2 right now and the categories I am winning are not even close.
That's because your team is heavily reliant on Winnipeg who is winning right now and you have two of the hottest starts in the league on your team in Ovechkin and Grabrovski.
If you want you can pick up Varlamov as a third goalie and drop Clarkson. That's one way to go about it and probably a safer way. I just assumed you could only have two goalies. I just wouldn't back on great save percentages or GAA between your goalies or even to excel in goaltending in general. You'd be gambling with your goaltending a bit but having three goalies might compensate enough for that.
Do you think I should just say fk it and win the rest? I think my team is alot better than everyone else just looking or you think I should drop Clarkson for Varla
Also who do you think will have more value Brunner or MacKinnon for the season?
Yeah I'd just drop Clarkson and pick up Varlamov as it's the safer, more conservative bet for now.
Mackinnon over Brunner.
Brunner seems to be getting A LOT of shots nad MacKinnon is suppose to stay on 3rd line whole season. Why do you say Mac over Brun?
They're both essentially unproven, only differences are that Mackinnon has much more talent and plays on an offensive powerhouse really whereas Brunner is much older with much less talent on probably one of the weakest offenses in the NHL on paper.
You can't really go wrong with dropping Bogosian and going for either so if you'd prefer Brunner there's nothing wrong with that. My personal opinion is that Mackinnon is the better short-term bet and Brunner is the better long-term one (long-term meaning towards the latter half of the season).
Thank you for the help kind sir.
No problem. I remember what it was like when I first got into fantasy hockey.
I picked up Varla do you think I should try to trade Pavelski or Spezza for a better goalie or just roll with my team as it is with the 3 goalies
