I agree, shootouts need to die. Might as well get the two captains to have a potato-sack race, or carry-the-egg-in-the-spoon. That's how little the shootout has to do with the game of hockey - it's an individual contest to decide a team sport. It's like they decide to throw out the actual nature of the game just to pick a winner.
