Here are the rules:

Each person gets to make two picks per game. One of your picks can be anyone on the team, and your other pick is your 'Dark Horse'. In other words, your Dark Horse is a player who is less likely to score the first goal...or any goal for that matter. The list of ineligible Dark Horses for this season are:

*Dustin Brown
*Anze Kopitar
*Jeff Carter
*Mike Richards
*Justin Williams

Points are awarded as follows:

*Four points awarded if you pick a player as a Dark Horse
*Two points awarded if you pick a player as your normal pick
*One point awarded if you pick a shutout (Kings get shutout that is)
*One extra point is awarded if you pick the correct situation in which the goal is scored (i.e. ES, PP, SH, PS)

-If you pick the same player as your normal pick and your Dark Horse, your normal pick gets priority.
-You can only pick Kings players to score the first goal of the game. Opposing teams do not count.

An example of how your pick should look is:

Brown (PP)
Dark Horse: Voynov (ES)

Once the game has started, no more picks are allowed. Please make sure to get your picks in ahead of time to be fair to everyone. Good luck!

Note: I'm thinking of adding Penner to the list of ineligible Dark Horses. Any thoughts?

The way he played last regular season, leave Penner as a Dark Horse candidate. If he gets someone a lot of points, good for us!

Brown es
Penner es

Penner has yet to prove he can score consistently enough to be removed from the dark horse list.
