This is as close as it gets. I like my lineup a little bit more than his.

As for pitching staffs, I like my starters better. The unit is great, but Satchel has a legitimate claim as being the GOAT. Matthewson is also arguably a top 5 pitcher of all time, and I think has the edge over Carlton. The middle and end of the rotation I believe is also slightly in my favour.

He does have a better bullpen, but we cracked Rocket City's pen and I think theirs was better, no disrespect to Goose.

[Tecumseh]

This is probably the best matchup that I've seen between outfields in all the years that I've participated in the ATD. Paige and Mathewson are an incredible 1-2 punch in a rotation but my rotation is considerably deeper which I believe will bode well for me in a 7 game series. Waddell is often overlooked but his peak is comparable to Koufax's. Speaking of players who are overlooked, Arky Vaughan is a top 5 shortstop of all time that is barely ever mentioned. As for my bullpen, it's more than just Goose. Jesse Orosco carved out a 24 year career by frustrating the best hitters of the era. He was constantly a thorn in the side of Barry Bonds. I don't see why he can't do the same to Babe and Griffey.
