I hope Hiller, but I have a feeling Fasth will be hot for a good portion of the season.
Don't expect Fasth to fall hard. He is the real deal, he's had been dominating SEL in a weak team for a couple of years. While he might not be top NHL-level, he's better than a lot of the goalies.
next time hiller in net expect him dig many pucks from net as he did from last season., why expect anything else. no memory , king of wishfullness thinking?

Fasth holds the record for best start for a Ducks goalie, right?
That's been my biggest worry. Is he going to push for free agency or ask for the moon based on the way he has played? We may have to just enjoy it while we have him.Next thought would be... are we going to re-sign him after this season and longer?!
He said he came here to be a starter. I don't see him staying here. That's been my biggest worry. Is he going to push for free agency or ask for the moon based on the way he has played? We may have to just enjoy it while we have him.

Ideally that'd work, but that's a tough proposition in a year when Fowler's raise kicks in and we're ostensibly trying to resign our current UFAs or their replacements. It's still way early in the season (even a shortened season) but if Fasth keeps playing more and keeps playing this well I could see us signing him to a 3 year deal for starter money and either keep Hiller in his last year, or trade Hiller and hope Anderson can make the jump to back up. Next year Gibson goes to the A and after that he could potentially back up Fasth for at least 2 years.
