1) For each Rangers game this year, everybody is welcome to comment with their two selections (one player from each team) who they think will score the game-winning goal.

2) A correct answer is worth 30 points minus the number of minutes that the player was on the ice for, ignoring seconds. Some examples:
- Kreider scores the game winner and has 15:40 TOI; anybody who picked him gets 30-15 = 15 points
- McKegg scores the game winner and has 8:55 TOI; anybody who picked him gets 30-8 = 22 points
- Brent Burns scores the game winner and has 26:15 TOI; that is 30-26 = 4, but the minimum is 5 points

3) A NEW WRINKLE THIS YEAR: If your pick gets an ASSIST on the GWG, then you will receive half the points that you would have gotten had he scored it. Ties will be broken by the number of points acquired by goals.

4) I will always try to start the threads the night before with an updated leaderboard in the first post, and will only accept predictions posted before the scheduled start of the game.

5) In games that end in a shootout, whichever player scores the deciding goal will be given the GWG for the purposes of scoring.

6) In the event of a selection not playing a single second of TOI during a game, anybody picking them will be given the teammate with the next highest jersey number as a replacement, with numbers rolling back over to 1 after passing 99.

Points available from last game:
GWG: Kreider - 13 points
GWA: Panarin - 5.5 points
GWA: Fox - 2.5 points

@Maximus and @NYRFANMANI both creep up on the top5 with the full 13 points.

Also, @Don Chytil jumps into the top10 despite being yet to benefit from an assist. And @Fugazy makes the biggest move of the night, from the depths into a tie for 12th.

@brians1128 picks up 5.5 points for Panarin, and noses into second place.

Myself and @NYR94 also close some ground at the top while avoiding getting passed off.

And while @CasusBelli loses a spot on the leaderboard, he picks up ground on the lead with his 5.5 points.

Okay guys, I gave you your head start.

Question: If the game is tied, and Wilson comes in on our goalie........
Do I want him to score, so I can nail my prediction?

Answer.......Hell NO!

Chytil will probably still be out with his injury. If that's the case, and you don't pick anybody else, you'll have K'Andre (next highest jersey number)

Unless of course, Deangelo plays for us lol
Sorry...as I posted in reply to Larrybiv -- a disastrous memory lapse. Choices should be removed. Guess I should go in the corner and attempt a game of checkers or something else suited to my "mental agility" at this point in time.

Lots of company there. Remember the idea is to see who can make a taller stack before the checkers topple over.;)
