Supplementary Draft


THOSE WHO ARE IN THIS LEAGUE WILL KNOW IT

Please read the OP. This will likely answer all your questions, but if you do have a question, you know who too contact.

RULES

There will be 33 rounds, which will be snaked. The roster will have 23 players, with 10 extras (NCAA/injured/junior). This team will play the same role as an AHL team.

Basically, we will have two leagues on ESPN, the one we drafted earlier, the other will be created and will play the role as your AHL team. In the second league, players like Ovechkin will be FAs in the AHL league, and we will draft unselected players in the other draft for prospects and unselected veterans.

To send a player down to the AHL (every player is eligible to be sent down), simply drop him in the "NHL" league, and pick up that player in the "AHL" league.

The purpose of this league is to pick up prospects who will lead your team in a couple years, and to pick up injury insurance.

If you do not want to draft, literally random players will be picked for you. I'll get the draft order sometime, and post it.

There will be a clock of one hour per pick to start. If this is too slow it can be changed. Patience is pleaded as this draft will take a while, but we have plenty of time to do it. PLEASE PM THE NEXT GM AFTER YOU PICK. This will speed it up considerably and make the pace a lot easier to handle. Everybody not taken in the original draft will be eligible to be picked. Start date will be Friday at 10AM EST. If you will not be near a keyboard when your pick is up, please send in a list to me.

So just for clarification, if we had run the actual draft in the Mock Drafts forum, we could have put the discussion thread + all other drafts in the Mock Drafts forum as well?

All fantasy-related leagues should belong in one forum. There is no reason for Donut's discussion thread to be in Mock Drafts while CBJATW's is in Fantasy, especially when both might be hosted on ESPN (Donut's could be on Yahoo). Letting someone post a discussion thread in a forum where such discussion threads aren't usually allowed (or on the flip side, excluding someone to post in a forum) is a bit odd.

If the main draft had been done on HF and then manually entered into ESPN by the league commissioner, then I suppose it would belong on the Mock Drafts forum. Such is not the case, though.
