Who actually scores goals for Chicago?
The top line, and then relying on the rest of the roster to not give up any goals.

I don't think his lines are optimized as there are the pieces for two lines that can score instead of a second line that's all about creating chances without shooting (Krejci, Newhook) or generating chances and not cashing in (Smith).

The top line with two middle six wingers on it? No argument regarding their ability to play defense, but that roster might have two 20 goal scorers on it.

Kubalik - David Krejci - Johnson

for regular season goals with those lines it's probably like

20-25-20
25-15-18

so definitely pretty underwhelming but not completely incompetent

The guy that built Ottawa doesn't like my team...

Not exactly disproving how the voting in these games has been consistently dumb. I see players on your roster that rely on better players to produce offense in real life. Aside from Sean Couturier and Craig Smith, we're looking at a pretty lackluster lineup in terms of offense.

Even Krejci was having a shit season until he started playing with Hall.

I mean, you can only do so much in these drafts. He drafted McAvoy, Petry and Pelech within the first five rounds...and has the game's best defensive core. He didn't even skimp on his goalie.

Look at his team like the Islanders.

His team would be the first team in professional hockey to have three defenseman on its top powerplay unit.

I'm sticking with Chicago. I just see NYR collapsing under sustained pressure due to lack of quality on defence, and the NYR second line is a liability despite how much I like Kyrou.

I’m not understanding the Chicago hype. Not a single game breaker.
NYR is short game breakers as well. Marner has 1 goal in his last 19 playoff games. Domi didn't score a goal in ten post-season games last season. Palmieri is scoring this off-season, but he is basically equal to Kubalik.
I like Schenn, but not a game breaker and hard to call him a better playoff 2C than Krejci.

< Theodore Fox (norris) Pelech first 10 rd sounds better
